Becoming the Archetype es una banda de metal cristiano bajo el sello de SolidState Records y Century Media Records (Europa) se formó en 1999 en Dacula, Georgia. Han publicado tres discos en Solid State Records.

Los miembros profesan ser cristianos, y la banda toma su nombre de Génesis 1:26 "Dios dijo: 'Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen". Dado que, según el cristianismo, Jesucristo es la única persona que es libre de pecado, Él fue el arquetipo de la humanidad; el nombre de la banda refleja su Fe.
